SHANGHAI, Aug 29 (SMM) – China's exports of aluminium extrusions, bars and rods increased 2.78% from June and 2.69% from July 2018 to stand at 90,500 mt in July, as the Chinese yuan depreciated and overseas demand was solid, showed SMM calculation based on the latest customs data. 

Among total exports under five HS codes, three categories saw significant increases in exports compared with a year ago, but exports of non-alloyed aluminium bar and rod, under the HS code of 76041010, fell a sharp 86.9% on the year and 13.2% on the month in July. 

This could be related to Vietnam’s anti-dumping duties on aluminium extruded products from China, which started on June 5, SMM assessed.

The exports of Chinese aluminium extrusions, bars and rods were under five HS codes of eight digits, including 76041090, 76042100, 76041010, 76042910, and 76042990.
